Born 1964 in Kolkata, Kishore Roy graduated in art from Govt. College of Arts and Crafts, Kolkata. His imagery is primarily figurative adorning a colourful appearance. The narratives rotate around mythological themes. Widely exhibited, his work has been featured in more than 25 group shows and over ten solo exhibitions in Kolkata and Delhi besides other Indian metros. His works have also been showcased in various cities abroad. Roy’s artworks are collected by the National Gallery of Modern Art, New Delhi, Singapore High Commission, and Ashoka Hotel Jaipur as well as with private collectors in USA, and the UK.
