Akshay Sawant is a painter with a sole purpose, but with many moods. Following his formal education, he has been working as a career artist for nearly fifteen years. In contrast, his father’s technique and ideals as a teacher shaped his knowledge of art. He began his exploration of the forest and natural resources of his own town, where he was raised. He expands and highlights the changing moods of the forest and trees, mist and smoke, and natural light and dark hues in his artworks. According to him, it is his responsibility as an artist to convey the course of nature's figures in the most enchanting manner. Akshay turns his canvases into a feature of the forest and finds ways to reproduce them in their entirety.
