N.S. Manoharan

N.S. Manoharan is a master artist based in Kumbakonam and Chennai and is a recipient of awards from the Lalit Kala Academy, India. Manoharan's works have been collected by the National Gallery of Modern Art and various private collections in the Indian and international spheres. His works are a blend of acrylics, oil, salt technique, watercolour and other mixed media. The artist paints images of towns he grew up in, mythological elements and motifs of Gods and Goddess figures. The artworks produced by N. S. Manoharan are hagiographies of religion and national traditional art forms that express nostalgia, the strength of culture, and the pride in preserving tradition across time.
